Error message stating insufficient privileges for uninstall, logged in as local administrator?

  • Sorry for the rather snippy reply - 'twas 8p.m. and meant as tongue-in-cheek response to the rather sparse information. I deduce you are talking about Windows but without OS and SAV version it is hard to give any meaningful answer. Furthermore you did not say how you installed Sophos, whether the computer is managed (although from the also scant Network Communications Report post I glean it is) and if it's in an AD environment. 

    But finally - my remark was nevertheless serious as with Tamper Protection enabled you'll get (after the preparing) the mesage: You have insufficient privileges to uninstall this product.
