  • Hi,

Does it help to do the following:

    1. Stop the service "Sophos Update manager"

    2. Rename the following files in:

    specialactions.xml,

    SUM_status.xml,

    config.xml

There are also copies of these with a ~ at the end, please rename these also.

    They should exist in:
    \program files\sophos\Enterprise Console\SUM\

    or
    \program files\sophos\Update Manager\

Essentially the same directory as the service executable.

    3. Restart the SUM service.

    4. In SEC, in the Update Manager view, comply with policy, maybe first confirm that re-entering the username and password is accepted.

Once this complies does SUM work?

If that still fails,  I would probably repeat the same steps above but delete the contents of the warehouse directory before step 3:

The warehouse directory can be found:
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Sophos\Update Manager\Update Manager\Warehouse \

    or

    C:\programdata\Sophos\Update Manager\Update Manager\Warehouse \
Only delete the contents, not the directory.

    Hope it helps.

    Jak
