install issue with windows 7 64 bits

are you in charge of Sophos at your site (company, institution)? If so please specify the product version and the method of install. Otherwise please contact your site's Sophos administrator who should be able to help you.

Did you try to install running setup.exe from the CID (share)? I assume the icon in the task bar is accessible - what is the default action listed when you right-click it? Can you open Sophos and if, is there an "Updating" section?

If you can open "Configure updating" - does it show the correct location (i.e. the CID on the server)?

I am doind a manuel install. It seems to me when i read the update log that the computer can't reach the update server.

So could you post a few lines from the ALUpdatexx...xx.log, the probably interesting part begins at a line starting with TrySyncProduct?
