Update failure.

When I click update the folder say could not contact server. It also is not doing auto update. I am using Windows 7 home primium. I connect to wireless through a router.

    Hi,

    Can you post a snippet from the last trace log from the last update attempt.

    The log file is here, there may be more than 1 so, maybe order by "Date modified" to ensure you have the latest open:

    C:\ProgramData\Sophos\AutoUpdate\Logs \ALUpdate[timestamp].log

    Each time an update is attempted you will see the line:

    [time stamp]  : ALUpdate started: -ScheduledUpdate  -NoGUI -RootPath "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\AutoUpdate"

    If this is a scheduled update.


    or:

    [time stamp]  :  ALUpdate started: -ManualUpdate  -NoGUI -RootPath "C:\Program Files (x86)\Sophos\AutoUpdate"  

    If you force an Update now.

    These indicate the start of the update sequence.  Either way, if you can paste here the last attempt that would be useful.
