Sophos Endpoint Upgrade to v10 : No Internet connection

I am currently using Sophos Endpoint Security and Control version 9.5. (Sophos Enterprise Console 4.5.1.0) The system I am using does not have an Internet connection so on a regular basis I have to manually download the Sophos Warehouse from another system which is on-line and then paste the Warehouse into my SophosUpdateManagaer share.

This seems to work OK and gives me up to date .ide files etc. whenever I do the copy.

Will this be all I have to do to get the Sophos Endpoint v10 ?

Thanks Peter Turvey

  • Hello Peter, I expect it to work like that. Once Sophos releases the automatic upgrade to v10 all regular (i.e. Recommended and fixed with "automatically upgrade" checked) 9.5/9.7 subscriptions will change to v.10 (on your on-line SUM too), v.10 will be downloaded, the contents of the CIDs updated and finally the clients will upgrade their 9.x install to 10.x. As the contents of the Warehouse change accordingly these steps will be repeated on your air-gapped console. Reprotect is not necessary for "adjacent version" upgrades (and downgrades as well), in fact the preferred method is either upgrading the CID or redirecting the clients to a CID with the new version and let AutoUpdate handle the rest.
