Child SUM

Hi,

Please advise this scenario of Sophos Child SUM.

1. Branch 1, 2, 3 they are same computer name.
2. Every Branch has a child update manager.
3. In the main Server of Sophos One computerName of all branch will appear.

How can we separate the computer Name of each branch appearing to sophos console.

We cannot change the computerName of each branches due to their application running.

    should be the correct link.

     RMS today can override 3 returned values to SEC, these are:

    • Computer name,
    • Computer domain name,
    • Computer description.

    The keys required to override them can be created manually or are created by setup.exe using the switches:

    • -compname <computername>,
    • -compdesc <computerdescription>,      
    • -domain <domainname>.

    Either way then end up under the Management Agent registry key as string values:

    HKLM\Software\Sophos\Remote Management System\ManagementAgent\

    • ComputerNameOverride
    • DomainNameOverride
    • ComputerDescriptionOverride

    Restarting the SOophos Agent service will pass up the latest.
