Sophos blocking Sophos ?!?

Hello everyone,

30-10-2012 13:30:09  Suspicious behavior  zFP-ADOBE    http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/118378.aspx

30-10-2012 13:30:09  Suspicious behavior  zFP-ORACLE http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/118379.aspx

Anyone know what we are doing wrong? Thing is, i dont remember opening sites yesterday or any day of this week.

Accessing the Sophos site from my Enterprise Console 5.0.0.8 'server'.

Thanks for any help you want to give.

Greetings

Arris

  • Hi Arris,

QC is correct that you should read the links returned by the console. It looks as though you've interpreted these messages as alerts that the linked pages are themselves suspicious. Sorry, that was not our intention.

In fact, what's intended is that you should read the linked knowledgebase article if you get a zFP alert, in this case on Google, Adobe, Oracle, and "other".

We're investigating how to make these messages more clear in future. Thanks for flagging this for our attention. It's a prime example of how something that seems clear to us can be quite the opposite to someone else.

    Best regards,

    spike.
