Installation problem

Hello, I'm trying to install Sophos on a pc. But after installation the pc cannot get the updates. When I check the services, I only see Sophos Update Service. Also the pc is shown in the console as disconnected, although I'm connected to the pc via VNC. What are my options?

    Hello Jo,

    are you testing an installer package? If you can open the GUI, please check the updating log - perhaps it fails to update (and complete the install) due to an invalid update location or invalid credentials.

    Also the pc is shown in the console as disconnected

    Connected in terms of SEC means that the client "talks" to the console via RMS.

    I checked the log and found a windows error 1326

    and went to this page: http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/17229.html

    After changing the updating configuration it seemd to do its updates, but afterwards I still get the message that it cannot do its updates. Now I'm trying to perform an install, launched from the console. Wait and see. Please cross your fingers ;)

    Another problem I found in the log was insufficient disk space, so after free up 2 GB of temp files, the installation and update went well.  After that I still had some problems with the savservice.exe, but the problem were malware. After manually removing these all is good now. You can close this question.
