installing second remote console but having problems

Hello,

I'm tryiing to install the remote console at a collegue's pc, but he gets the following error message: The system must be restarted before installing this product to allow prior file update operations...

But after a reboot the same message reappears. What could be the problem? I already looked at the registry but the key mentioned isn't there.

    Locating the "lock" file in \Windows\Temp should be fairly easy (if it exists). Install logs are usually in the system's or the user's temp directory or, since SEC 5.1, in %ProgramData%. The results of the pre-install check are written to a file - but I can't say right now how detailed it is or if there's a more detailed log in the same folder. BTW: which Windows and SEC version (so I can dig in the right place)? Christian
