Uninstall EM Library?

Though I've uninstalled EM Library (Control Panel : Add Remove Programs), when I launch EC4.5 it tells me the EM Library is still in the updating Hierarchy. There's a legacy updating policy, default, which I can't remove and is applied to most of my (AD-tree synched) groups unless I manually unselect Legacy Updating on each group. How do I kill off EM Library and the old default updating policy?

  • I've unsynched from my AD, dropped most of the groups, removed the legacy tick from the others, checked that the legacy Default update policy doesn't think it it is in force anywhere

    - but I still can't delete the legacy default update policy.

What is worse is that on trying to resych with AD, EC4.5 doesn't like the admin user credentials I used previously for automatic installs, unless I'm repeatedly mistyping the password.
