Hard disk constantly thrashing

Does anyone else have this problem?  As soon as I installed Endpoint protection, my HDD has been thrashing.  The light has not gone off for a week or so!  This is really slowing my computer down. Is there any way to avoid it?

    Well, when I run process explorer and sort by disk reads it looks like "SearchFilterHost.exe" and "svchost.exe" seem to be the culprits.  I guess that's probably not related to Sophos, but it's funny that I never had this problem until I installed the endpoint protection.
