Anti Virus 9.5.5 - Auto Update - Windows 7 - Domain - Enterprise 4.5

Hi,

When the user logs in sophos update fails to update. Wait a short while (30 secs) and kick it off manually and the update works perfectly.

It seems as if the auto update is attempting to contact the share on the server before all of the network components have started.

Does anyone have a fix or workaround for this issue.

    My apologies Christian, you are right, I should have included more information.

    At this time, after having checked back after 2 days, the workstation is (mysteriously) up to 9.5 - I'm guessing the message relay may have been busy at the time I tried to force the update.  I haven't seen this on our WinXP workstations, they're always quick to update.

    I will reimage this machine back to default shortly and respond back if the problem persists.  Someone may have intervened to get it to update, we need it to happen automatically, so I'll have to check it out once again.
