savservice & scfservice CPU/Memory hogs...?

Hi,

Running freestanding SAV (7.6.20) & SCF (1.5.8) on a (don't laugh) old freestanding XP Professional System (SP3) - Both services seem to hog these two resources even when the machine's idling - I've tried the "restore defaults - On-Access scanning"; but to no avail...

Any ideas anyone?

Did you ever get a response from anyone on this? I have two machines doing the same thing... The machine becomes unusable.

I am seeing the beahvior with Windows XP Pro SP3 machines running Office 2003. When you try to open the thesaurus in Word, savservice spikes and Word takes minutes to load the thesaurus.
