Drive Encryption Not Starting

hello, We have purchased drive encryption and only have configured the base policy.

So what i have seen from when the sophos software is installed the drive Encryption prompts the user to enter their password to start drive Encryption.

However on one mac this prompt box is not appearing.

I can see in sophos central that for this machine the below and its status is unmanaged, Is there any to force sync either from the sophos central or the client to get this prompt box to start the encryption?

Hi Mark,

Please help me with the following information:

1. Was this machine recently added to Sophos Central?

2. Did you recently install the Safeguard encryption on this machine?

3. What is the version of Safeguard Encryption?

In the meantime, to manually synchronize the client, please follow the instruction below:

1. On the right bottom corner right click on the Safeguard icon.

2. And select Synchronize.

Hello,

Yes the mac is new to sophos cloud

I think safeguard is another product ?

What we have is just called device encryption also what you have shown is for a PC and we are using macs.

Hi Mark,

Please follow the instruction for the Mac machine:

1. Open the System Preferences and click the Sophos Encryption icon to start the application

2. Click the Server tab.

3. If server and certificate details are shown, Check the connection to the SafeGuard Enterprise server: Company certificate details are shown in the lower part of the Server dialog. Then click Synchronize. A successful connection will result in an updated "Last Contacted" time stamp (Tab Server, Server Info area, Last Contacted). Please refer to the article Sophos Safeguard Disk Encryption for Mac Admin guide (Pg: 5)

Hello, I do not have SafeGuard therefore there is no Sophos Encryption icon in the system preferences.
