Sophos Central user associated with multiple incorrect devices

I received an alert  "A computer does not comply with its Sophos Central policy", but the user specified as the last user has never signed into the device. Upon further inspection I found this user to be associated with four other computers that she has never logged into, and that are in an office the user has never been to. All systems show no user profile for this user and log archives show no activity for this account on the systems specified by Sophos Central. Is this a bug in Sophos Central?

  • Thank you again for your reply. I found that solution online already, but it does not help. If there was option next to Devices, that could remove the specific device, that would be great. But it's not. Those are domain users, and when I try to edit login, only 1 login is selected (i believe that this it correct?). I have 4 devices under 1 user. One of the devices is his computer, and the others computers are the one that he actually never logged in.

  • Hi

Could you please confirm if the user is the administrator? When an administrator logs into a computer to install Sophos, the computer will initially be associated with the administrator. Once the installation is finished and the same administrator logs out, the computer and its license will then be associated to the next user that will log in.

  • That user is not administrator. I installed it on his computer, when he was logged to windows, using my (admin) credentials. However, the computer named Lenovo, you see top right is mine, and he never had access to it.

  • Do you have any other idea, what could I do?
