Monthly and term products for clients under one central account

Hello All,

I am seeking some advice to manage monthly and term products for one of my clients. I have created a monthly account for the client in Sophos central, do I need to create a term account as well for the same client.

Can't I manage monthly and term products for the same client under one central account.

Will appreciate the advice

Thanks

Sarbrinder

  • Hi Sarbrinder,

Is there a specific reason the client needs both termed and monthly licenses?  If they need both license types they'll need to be on separate accounts as monthly accounts have no license limit and charge based on what is used.

  • Hello Meric,

    Thanks for the reply.

The first reason was the client wanted Sophos email standard (Purchased 36 months license) which is not available under the MSP, last time I checked only email advance was available. Second is under the XG promo, the client was happy to get the license for 36 months for both products.

Regarding endpoint and server protection the client wanted monthly. Didn't want a huge upfront cost.

I am happy to create two accounts and later down the line will try to consolidate into monthly

    Regards

    Sarbrinder

  • For a scenario like this the customer would need two separate accounts to have both monthly MSP licenses for Endpoint and Server protection as well as termed licenses for Email Standard and XG. A warning ahead is that in order to use the Security Heartbeat features (XG + Central Endpoint), both the XG and Central Endpoints must be on the same Central account.
