Altiris deployment agent appears offline after installing sophos central endpoint

Hello,

I'm using ghost solution suite 3.3 for imaging my clients. The clients are communicating to the ghostserver with Altiris deployment agent. After deploying sophos central endpoint and rebooting the clients, the clients appear offline in the ghost management console, i can still ping and deploy the altiris deployment agent to the clients. In sophos central log & reports i can see no application or service that's beeing blocked on the clients. Is there a setting in sophos endpoint that could cause this problem?

Best regards,

Andy Heere

  • Hello Andy,

Did you have any luck with their suggestions?  I am experiencing the exact same issue.  If I remove Sophos - Altiris DAgent communicates back to the server fine; if I install Sophos, it ceases to provide that information or allow me to manage the computer - even though, if I were to login directly to the computer and check out DAgent, it looks like it's running.  It's like it's hanging up or something.

I ran across the follow KB article:

    https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/134719

Not sure if related, but it mentions a known issue with DAgent and a July 21st early-release fix.

Anywho, if you have an update to this ticket I'd be very interested.

    Kind Regards,

    ~Alek
