BTW, is the update only applicable in Windows 7 SP1?

That is applicable for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 2008 R2.

Are you facing this issue on any other operating system? If yes, would you please suggest the version of the intercept x?

Is it showing you the error " Failed to install NTP"? 

Check if you see specific error codes such as error 1721, 1612, 1920, etc. in the most recent Sophos NTP Install logs in %localappdata%\Temp (or C:\Windows\Temp).
