I am testing an in-place upgrade for my company from W10 Enterprise 1803-> 1909. I have found that the job hangs after first reboot. After much testing found that is I uninstall the Sophos EndPoint client the issue is resolved i.e. the upgrade works perfectly
Can I disable Sophos temporarily rather than having to uninstall?

Instead of uninstalling Sophos, we will need to find the exact component which can be causing the issue here. Please follow the steps listed in this article and see if there is any of the Sophos components which can be the reason here. You might also need to check for the Procmon logs to see which process is involved.

Unfortunately, there is no script to do this automatically, we will need to manually disable component as stated in the article.
