Sophos Webcontrol breaking browsers and slowing web

This morning I came into the office and found that Edge Chromium and Firefox would no longer load pages. They were all stuck on the spinning wheel. I checked Chrome and it was working but was extremely slow. I disabled Webcontrol on my working and all problems promptly disappeared. 

 

This is not happening for all users as far as I can tell. But there is no question that Webcontrol is causing problems on the PC's that I checked. Is this a cloud problem or an update gone bad?

    Would you please confirm on what OS you are facing the issue? What is the version of the Sophos Anti-Virus installed on the machine? Any specific error logs you see under Web Control folder?

    Running Core Agent 2.5.5

    EndPoint Advanced 10.8.6.215

    Intercept X 2.0.16

    I cannot gain access to the program data Webcontrol folder. Nothing I have tried gives me permission to see what ever is in that folder.

     

    The event log from the client has nothing. The only interesting I see in Sophos Central for the device is this.

    The Policy Non-compliance error occurs when there is a change made by local administrator on client or is brought about by an unfortunate timing of events at the endpoint. Would you please check on the endpoint if all the Sophos services are up and running fine? It might be worth checking by clearing cache and cookies on the machine.
