add endpoint back to sophos central

Question

i have one windows machine that was not used for 10 months, it is currently not inside sophos central but there is a version of sophos central endpoint already installed. 
 how do i add this machine back to sophos central. 
 when i tried to re-install, it says "tamper protection is enabled. tamper protection must be disabled before installation"

Hi yeowkm 
 You can re-register the device by following the below steps. 
 
 Recover Tamper protection on the endpoint. 
 Stop the Sophos MCS Client and Agent Service. 
 Delete the files Credentials , EndpointIdentity.txt and those with the .xml extension that is located in the following path: 
 
 Windows 7 and later: C:\ProgramData\Sophos\Management Communications System\Endpoint\Persist 
 Windows XP: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Sophos\Management Communications System\Endpoint\Persist

Restart the Sophos MCS client and agent service 
 
 The endpoint should now reflect on the cloud dashboard. Let me know if you face any issues.
