Overide Toogle - Cant turn back on?

Hi,

When user the override feature for troubleshooting in Sophos, I am able to turn the feature off but not back on?  It just stays off when clicking it again. Is this expected behavior?

If so, its a weird choice as it make troubleshooting very difficult. It would also be a very insecure, as any feature I turn off, is now off for 4 hours?

  • Hi ,

Please have a look at the note below:

After four hours, the settings will automatically change back to the centrally-enforced policy settings.

Note: You can change the settings back sooner if you want to. You can’t use the slider controls to do this for individual features. Instead, uncheck Override Sophos Central Policy for up to 4 hours to troubleshoot.

  • Hey Barb,

Thanks for the reply.  The toogle is a little misleading then!

How long does it take to turn back on after unchecking the 4 hour override? I have unchecked that box and sometimes it still seems to appear off for sometime after?

  • Hi LRB,

As mentioned before after its "four hours", the settings will automatically change back to the centrally-enforced policy settings. If you wish to change it manually before that time, just uncheck the option "Override Sophos Central Policy for up to 4 hours to troubleshoot".
