Dear Sophus Friends

Just ran a full virus check -- Mac was acting funny -- and discovered on my Quarantine Manager:

THREAT
OSX/Geonei-A

with

FILENAME

InstallGenieo.dmg, ...

And when i asked for "Clean Up Threat"

i got

Cleanup Failed

Now what?

If anyone else has this problem, go to the "Can't get Sophus to respond" query (a little bit down from mine), and you can find a very good answer and two very helpful videos. When i applied them was able to clear up the problem. Whew!

I haven't much experience with these threads, so please forgive me. I don't see anything below your comment, i.e., no very good answer and no video links. Can you reconstruct or suggest search terms? Thanks.

I’’’’ve now looked at the scan log and am comfortable that the problem file is only on my external hard drive and not on my computer.

At this point, I’’’’ll let it go.
