I installed SAV a few months ago, and ever since it has slowed down not only my Firefox browsing, but absolutely everything on my Mac. Even for something as simple as switching to a different program, there is a painfully long drag (the dreaded spinning orb). I'm OK with some degree of drag, as I thought scanning for viruses etc. on the fly would be resource intensive, but this really is too much. More recently, I've started noticing my Mac sometimes freezes On shutting down. And while I can't be sure SAV is the culprit, this is my strong suspicion. This happens now maybe once every other day. Also, I've added no new software since adding SAV, except trying to install/un-install some standard Adobe PDF Plug-ins, and maybe(?) Firefox updates. At this point, I'm writing on this board in case there's something obvious I've missed that could alleviate the problems I'm experiencing. Setting the issue of freezing on shutdown for a moment, Is there something I can do to greatly reduce the performance drag I'm experiencing?
