Should I update to Version 8

I have version 7.3.10C of the free home edition on my iMac. The Sophos info says I will be automatically updated to version 8. This has not happened. However, I wonder if I should even initiate a manual update to version 8. Are there enough advantages to offset known and unresolved bugs?

Thanks for that helpful perspective. There must be an axiom somewhere: "Never be too quick to upgrade".
