Disabling Sophos from start up

How do I disable Sophos AV from starting up everytime I log in my mac? I only wish to use it when I want to scan so that it won't take up additional resources. I have disabled the On-Access scanning, but I'm sure it's still taking up some memory resource. And I don't wish to only "Hide Status in Menu Bar"

Is it even possible?

Edit: This link would be useful for people that's in my situation. Explains stuff related to memory

But I just wanna make sure, after disabling the On-Access, is it using any resources? Idle and also when files are changed.

You can hold the shift key, whilst logging in, to suppress login items in general (not Sophos alone).

Don't expect a way to permanently disable the software. Sooner or later, it will probably heal itself.
