Threats Detected, but nothing in Quarantine Manager

I have the f ree edition and after running the scan, Sophos shows 6 threats however nothing is showing in the quarantine manager, so I'm not quite sure what to do from here.

  • What are the threats, and where are they located?

If it's files in your internet cache, they might be gone before you open the quarantine manager.

If it's files on backups/in archives, they may not be readily accessible based on your configuration, except to an archive scan.  If you view the scan log, it should tell you exactly what the detection details are.

  • hi,

I get the same issue on my laptop - running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.1 (11B26) and Version 7.3.3C of the sophos a-v for mac.

On a different machine that runs a Snow Leopard edition of Mac OS X, but consumes the same email accounts (imap) I do get the list of detected files.  I don't think that there are any differences

This is what the log is telling me:

NB, it was working happily before, and no changes were made to the configuration.

I don't think it is purely a Lion thing either, as it has listed quarantined files since I performed the upgrade (although I'm not so sure about point versions)

    thanks,

    Nick

  • I'm having the same problem. This morning Sophos popped up with a message that malware had been detected. and was in the Quarantine Manager. When I opened it, it appeared for a second or two, but before I could do anything it disappeared. I ran another scan, got the same detection message, but this time Q Manager was empty from the get-go. After a restart I found exactly the same results... This is ridiculous!
