Does Sophos for Mac also scan Windows files?

I found this AV solution and think it is very promising. However I need to know one thing for certain before using this.

On my iMac I run Parallels Desktop and some Windows-only applications. Not all the time but regularly.

Does Sophos AV scan the Windows files of the Mac all the time or only when Parallels is fired up?

    If you read the rest of the thread, you'll see that this question was asked, and I said "unless the Parallels volume is mounted readable under OS X (it isn't usually), the volume will NOT be scanned, and you will need a secondary AV product for your Parallels volume.
