Does Sophos for Mac also scan Windows files?

I read this article before I posted this message, but it did not give me the complete answer to my question.

Does this mean that as long as there is not a AV application running in the virtual environment, like Parallels, that Sophos will scan this environment too? In other words, can I deinstall Kaspersky under Windows and let Sophos for Mac do all the good work on Mac- and Windows files?

If you read the rest of the thread, you'll see that this question was asked, and I said "unless the Parallels volume is mounted readable under OS X (it isn't usually), the volume will NOT be scanned, and you will need a secondary AV product for your Parallels volume.

So, when I start up the Parallels Desktop in the Finder I see a device '[C] Windows XP' (in this case). As I understand your last comment then this volume is mounted readable under OS X, and thus also for Sophos AV. This means, in m.h.o., that the on-access scanning of Sophos will work then and also, when I execute a 'Scan Local Drives' when Parallels is mounted, Sophos will also scan this volume.

So, if I am right, my conclusion is that I do not need a secondary AV product for the Parallels volume.
