During a recent autoupdate, the SAV black shield icon, which had been sitting quite happily on my menu bar, just disappeared. I subsequently removed SAV using the Remove Sophos.app and re downloaded the programme from the Sophos website. However, the menu bar icon did not return. The SAV custom scan window is still accessible from my Applications folder, as are the SAV Preferences, and the log shows that the program keeps trying to update but cannot find the right file. My RemoveSophos icon is still in the Applications Folder, but tells me that Sophos is not installed!!
I am hoping for some guidance on how to reinstate the programme, and reasons why this might have happened.
