How to manually removed a virus threat detected by Sophos

Hello,  I just got a notification from Sophos about various virus threats on my computer.  I did the scan, authenticated, and had several threats removed following the simple instructions provided from the Support section.  However, there are still 12 files for Trojan/ByteVeri-N that the Sophos program is telling me need to be manually removed.  How do I do this?

  • Hello Andrew or other staff or users:  I found the thread refered to in the message from Andrew above and followed the instructions.  However, the only option available to me was to "Clean up Manually" by creating a custom scan.  It is not clear to me how to do this.  While I can select the 8 threat items which are listed as the Trojan/Byte Veri-N, once I do that it isn't clear how to scan them and I don't see an Options tab where I can select "Delete threat" from the drop-down menu.  So don't have a way of deleting them.  Instead, my only option seems to be to "clear" the threat from the list, but there is a warning that this doesn't remove the threat.  Please advise!
