You are not Sophos Staff.
Today I installed the Sophos Home Edition version 9.0.8 on a MacBook Pro OS 10.9.4. It will not update; I get an error message "Could not contact secondary server". I have tried at intervals and continue to get the same error message. Has anyone else encountered this, and does anyone know how to resolve it? Thanks!
I assume this is the Home Edition and is attempting to contact 'Sophos' for updates? If so
Option 1:
Make sure you're connected to the internat (kind of obvious I know! :smileyhappy:) and then open Activity Monitor from Spotlight...
...then ensure all processes are shown...
...then select the now shown SophosAutoUpdate process [1] and force quit it [2]...
...then force another update from the Sophos menu bar shield.
Option 2:
If that doesn't help upgrade to v9.1...
