SOPHOS ICON PULSATING/"Checking Primary Server"

Greetings All,

I have an iMac with OS 10-7-4 installed.

The Sophos Icon in the upper right of the screen is black & the "fingers" on the left side of the Icon are pulsating.

When I place the cursor over the Icon "Checking primary server" appears.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what this means, please.

I'm sorry, but it is all getting too time consuming & complicated.
It dissappoints me to say that as I wrote, tested, & ran my first programs back in 1970, & have been working with computers continuously since before then.
