Just downloaded this as a test:
The Sophos page on Android Walien defines it as "Specifically for android mobile devices, this application tracking purposes but has remote control capabilities as well such as mobile locking/unlocking and message deletion".
I believe the classification is correct due to the powerful features of the app and potential for misuse; however you can 'ignore' the detection if required. Perhaps not the answer you were looking for - sorry. :smileyfrustrated:
If it's causing a problem (i.e., impacting business) you could submit a sample of the app/open a support case and request the detection is removed. However you would probably have to provide a strong business case as I imagine detecting this application but allowing the app is probably what most customers will want.
No need to feel sorry. I thought it was alerting as false positive and wanted to see if anyone else has seen this behavior. As an institution, we want some sort of a/v on networked devices and Sophos Mobile is an easy to point to option. Since we're a Sophos campus, it keeps things unified.
