How to restart On Access Scanner

Periodically On Access Scanner turns itself (?) off. Is there some way to force it to restart other than rebooting?

Update.....was considering removing and reinstalling but, for unknown reasons, scanning is now on. If anyone has any more info about this issue, please post. Makes me question reliability of Sophos. For those tech-savvy enough to understand it (I, unfortunately, do not fall into that category), here's an article I found on Sophos:
