HELP!

I just installed the sophos software onto my MAC (I was told that my MAC had "infections") and I'm not sure what I need to do now.  I got the message that the installation was "successful" and I'm not sure what needs to be done now...hoping someone can help me that is good w/ the Mac.  I love my MAC but am not "techy" at all w/ it...More familar w/ Dell.  Hope someone can help me w/ the next steps...**bleep** those hackers!

  • Out of curiosity, what are the names of the threats you found?  Most threats you'd be exposed to are Windows-based and wouldn't have actually affected your computer.

As for your AOL account... do you use easy-to-guess passwords or easy-to-guess password recovery questions?  Do you re-use passwords between different accounts?  It's very possible someone has hijacked your AOL account and it has nothing to do with your computer.
