SafeGuard Client 6.10.0.374 Will not Encrypt

I have installed SafeGuard client on a brand new machine and the install takes, but when it connects to the server the encryption does not kick off.  I have installed and reinstalled the software twice with the same results.  Similar problems on other machines, but the encryption finally kicked off after reinstalling the client config file.  This particular machine will not encrypt no matter whet I do.  Please assist.

    Hi Quinn,

    do you use the SafeGuard Device Encryption Client or the Safeguard BitLocker Client to encrypt the machines?

    Do you see any specific errors in the Application Event logs of the machine or in the Management Center under the "Reports" section?

    Are you using an Opal compliant SSD? If so then all Safeguard does is switch on the encryption on the drive (rather than go through each sector and encrypt it).

    You should be able to find out if its opal compliant by looking at the entry in the management center.

    I would check if the client is correctly synchronized (detailed info visible in Management Center, disk drives, modules installed) and if policies are correctly deployed.

    And also check data packet transmission in Client status window, if there aren't any packets waiting for deployment.
