Pass-Through Authentication Failure

We are currently using Safeguard Enterprise 6.00.0.155 with a Windows 7 64-bit laptop.  DX and DE are installed.

While POA authentication is working properly, I cannot seem to get Pass-Through Authentication to work.  I believe the policies are set correctly and I am able to check the option to pass the credentials to Windows.  It does not seem to make a difference whether I click this option or not, Windows still prompts for credentials and nothing is passed through.

We normally require a user to press CTRL+ALT+DELETE before Windows prompts for credentials, though I have tested removing this requirement and Pass-Through Authentication still does not function.

Is there a way to troubleshoot this issue or a recommendation on a few things to check that may be preventing Pass-Through Authentication?

Thanks,

Ryan

  • We do have a third party credential provider and I figured this might be the issue.  The strange thing is that I walked away for a week and after another reboot it started working.  Funny how that works considering I rebooted close to a dozen times before.

I am still having a few issues with the policy displaying the check box under "Pass through to Windows" when a user clicks the option button at POA, but it doesn't seem to affect anything and the credentials are passed at the Windows login.  it seems to work whether i assign a computer or a user to the policy.

I can fix this issue by assigning both the user and the computer objects the pass-through policy, but obviously this is a minor issue at this point.  When they are both assigned, the pass-through box shows as checked.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
