SafeGuard is loading OS now! error=0x02

Hi all,

Having a good bit of bother trying to install safeguard on one laptop. Its a Dell Vostro V13 and I have installed the pre-reqs on the machine first, then the client and then the configured package which contains the policy. When the machine reboots, it attempts to go through the process but just hangs at the screen where it displays:

SafeGuard is loading OS now!

error=0x02

Have updated the Bios to the latest version (A05) which has made no difference.

Any help would be appreciated!

I've seen that error message too many times to count. If it your OS will boot even though this error is occuring, then you don't really need to do anything (you can ignore the error).

If you're having issues with the OS not booting, try using the hotkeys, specifically the ATA Compatibility hotkey (Shift + F6):

I have seen this error before. On my systems it was caused by the video driver. Not positive this is your issue but did you test using the hotkeys to start in vga mode rather than vesa?

I had an issue with something similar happen to me. Pop that hard drive out and check the smart status with the manyfacturer supplied tools, in my case one of the sectors with the POA environment was located on a bad sector.
