I have Windows 7 running on a laptop protected with Safeguard.
I was having problems with the computer locking itself and needing a Challange/Response to unlock it.
...(Cutting a very long story short)...
I'm at the point where I have set the ownership of the laptop OK
I have logged the user in to Windows and as their password was due to expire - urged them to reset their password locally (as I understand is best-practice) -which they did successfully.
Should be OK now I think - I ask them to restart the PC (to emulate coming in to work tomorrow and starting up as normal).
Safeguard asks the user to identify themselves as normal - the users (new) account password is rejected.
I suggest putting in the old password - this works and Safeguard allows the user to continue to login to Windows.
So - Im in a situation where Safeguard has one password for the users domain account, and Active directory has a different password.

Is there a way to force Safeguard to update the local password from Active Directory?
