Encryption error - Engine: Volume C:\ bad, NT-Status = 0xc0000010

Hi.  I was looking through the Safeguard Enterprise Event Viewer.  One of my user's machines logs this error every morning,  "Encryption error - Engine: Volume C:\ bad, NT-Status = 0xc0000010".

The Safeguard Event ID is 3604, Application: SGBaseEnc, User domain: NT AUTHORITY

Other than this error, the machine operates normally.  This has been going on for months.  Do I have anything to worry about?

Thanks

  • Yeah, you nailed it.  The user's system said it encountered an error during encryption.  We will first try and decrypt, run chkdsk then re-encrypt with the latest version.  If this fails, we will open a ticket.  Thanks
