Quarantine recovery messages blocked

Hello

I have a problem where for each quarantine recovery I just get

550 5.1.1 <pmx-auto-approve+63c1738b56392f1988246287cbbee078@gate.domain.com>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table

I have added the gate.domain.com as approved receiver by the followng line on local recipient table.

@gate.domain.com OK
All other users and domains are working as supposed on the same recipient table.

Any ideas why this still doens't work (and yes, I have run postmap on the changed recipient file :))

    Is the gate.domain.com listed in your main.cf for either relay domains or mydestination?  As the quarantine digests for that domain generated from the same PMX server that is receiving the approval request?

    Unfortunately I had the gate.domain.com already in my relay_domains setting but it seems to me that the problem lies in the recipient table. The only problem is that it SHOULD be just OK. I even created a bogus line for domain fake.domain.com and RCPT TO: accepts whatever@fake.domain.com, but not totally similar line whatever@gate.domain.com when testing it by telnetting port 25.

    I am quite well lost :( Any ideas how to proceed?

  • Hi Hank,

    If you had the gate.domain.com in your relay_domains section of the main.cf, did you reload the postfix configuration for the system to know to accpet mail for that domain.  If you did then I recommend you get in contact with our support team.  If you can provide them with your Postfix configuration they will be more than happy to see where the potential configuration error is.  Perhaps submitting a support request query from the PMX server will initially help get the case started.
