No hotspot configured on this interface!

Hi,

I'm trying to setup a basic hotspot service for use with 3th party AP's.

As a test environment I've used a dedicated interface (e5) and I activated DHCP and DNS on it.

I tested connectivity to browse the web, and this worked fine on e5. I did this directly with a cable (no AP involved).

When I activate a hotspot service on that interface, the UTM intercepts the traffic and I get a blanc page which says: “No hotspot configured on this interface!

Hotspot only requires acceptance of terms.

What am I doing wrong here? If I disable the hotspots, I can browse the web again.

Hotspot looks like this:

  • Hi, Jürgen, and welcome to the UTM Community!

I'm confused that you are using backend authentication in the hotspot profile, but the only allowed user is admin which I assume is locally authenticated.

  • Hi,

It's a long time ago, but i've resolved the issue by removing some interfaces completely and re-configure them.

The problem was that I couln't even login, because the onboarding-page was completely blank. Admin was indeed a local user.
