I have an AP55 that I want to get hooked up and want to power via a poe switch but I'm seeing a conflict in what it requires POE wise. The pdf spec sheet says 802.3AT which is 30w but the product listing on the website says 802.3AF which is 15.4 watts. I work with someone who says they're running an AP100 off a cheap 8 port trendnet which is only 15w.
I assume 15.4 watts will work for my AP55 since and AP100 worked on that but I don't want to see any problems later due to a power limitation.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Or can anyone clarify its true requirements? I chatted with a sales rep and they openly admitted to not being technical and didnt really understand my question.
