Bad throughput after 9.30*

My guest WLAN (separate zone) is unusable after upgrading to 9.301. My other two WLANs that are bridged to LAN works fine.

    same here, wifi is stil not useable for business. too slow at all. ok for surfing internet but not more!

    As soon as I deployed /sbin/ethtool -K wlan0 tso off, these problems disappeared.  I just am not seeing the problems being discussed here.

    where does this go again for the wifi points?  I have a client with the ac point and is having problems with it.

    William, this is for SSIDs with "Separate Zone" selected.  after executing the command as root, I added the following line to /etc/crontab-static:

    @reboot root /sbin/ethtool -K wlan0 tso off && date>/root/ethtoolran

    I see lots of complaints, but very little details. I retested my AP50 after upgrading to 9.310 with a seperate zone and received similar results to last time without employing Bob's tricks.

    What I have found though is if you are using the supplied POE connector it only connects at 100mb/s. So I have my AP50 on seperate power and ethernet until I can afford a 1gb/s POE unit.

    Also, I should add I was having performance issues when I first started using the PAs because the connecting devices would drop back to the 2.4ghz channels. So, to fix the problem I created seperate SSIDs for each band and changed to the 40mb/s spacing. 
    All my testing is done on the 5ghz channels where the connection speed is 300mb/s.

    Why cant Sophos Ltd provide a Update for this Problem?

    Have you logged the issue with your reseller, do you have an incident number?
    If you are a home user please describe your WIFI setup, including AP types?

    I'm still having a nightmare with this.  It appeared to be better a couple of patches ago.  I think it's broken again.  TSO fix isn't helping.

    Interestingly, iPhones don't seem to suffer as much as laptops.

    Time to get the issue re-opened with Sophos Support.

    Since 4 month no fix for this problem! Can I get the money back for the useless WLAN APs?

    Really ? Can you please provide you used Appliance type, AP models, UTM firmware version and how the SSID´s are configured (sep. zone, bridge to...)

    and maybe other features active as IDS/IPS, Flooding Protection settings etc.

    Hi Sascha,

    We have the software appliance with 9309-3

    10 AP50's, Separate Zones, which has already been identified as the cause.  Bridge to LAN is unaffected.

    This is a known issue, it shows as unfixed in the KIL list.

    Sophos support have recommended an update to 9.310 and have indicated wifi fixes are present.  I'll see how we get on.
