wireless network setup

I have 40 access points spread over three VLANS, and I need to connect laptops that are bridged to the local LAN, as well as chromebooks, which are not.  I have it all setup and working, but not sure if it is the best configuration.  I'm not even really sure what is meant by a 'wireless network' that you can create in wireless protection.  Can anyone point me to some good reference material on this, besides the help pages from Sophos?  Thanks.  UTM 9.2
