Clients can't connect to same SSID on different AP

I hope I'm putting this clearly:

I've got AP50s in two buildings with the same 4 SSIDs assigned to them. When a client on an SSID goes from one building to the other it can't connect to the AP there with the same SSID - it has to choose a different one and then after some time is able reconnect with on the original SSID.

This has been happening to several people with iPad Air and some with a variety of Windows laptops.

If anyone has a suggestion as to what might be happening and how to fix it I'd be grateful to hear.

That's interesting, Steve. Can you show us the lines from the wireless log when a device leaves one building and tries and fails to get onto the same SSID in the other building?
