Ok here is a tough one. I have a website that I've duplicated exactly on a IIS 7.5 web server (Windows 7) and an IIS 8.5 web server (Windows 2012 R2). If I use WAF as the frontend to this site, the text pages are gzip compressed from the UTM only when originating on the IIS 7.5 web server. If I use Load Balancing instead of WAF, the pages are gzipped coming from 8.5 as well so I know both web servers are compressing. Its just that WAF only keeps the compression enabled when it came from IIS 7.5.
