Blackberry Z10 Active Sync

Hi Sophos Team,

yesterday we found out that the antivirus protection in the Web Server protection option is blocking the active Sync connection from one of our new BB Z10. So we have disabled the antivirus protection because we dont know the reasen for this problem.

here is the message from the web application firewall log, which shows the problem:

2013:07:03-09:58:58 mail-1 reverseproxy: [Wed Jul 03 09:58:58.270741 2013] [avscan:error] [pid 14648:tid 4089838448] [client ipadress:40727] [14648] virus UNSCANNABLE found in request /Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync

iphone connection with active Sync is working well with antivirus protection

any ideas? we dont want to keep the antivirus protection in off mode
thank you for yor help

  • Are there any hints in the Firewall or Intrusion Prevention log?  I would definitely get Sophos involved, but I bet it's a Blackberry issue.

    Cheers - Bob
