Outlook Web Access / Microsoft Server ActiveSync / iPhone Exchange / WAS / ASG 8.2

HI,

I have managed to get Outlook Web Access running through the Web Application Firewall (Exchange 2003, ASG 8.2).

https://support.astaro.com/support/index.php/Outlook_Web_Access_and_Microsoft_Server_ActiveSync

I also try to pass the Exchange-iPhone client through the Web Application Firewall (NOT by using any DNAT rules or open ports; WAS only). I am using dyndns and have installed the Hostname certificate xyz.dnynds.org on my iPhone.
The iPhone cannot connect. Could anyone help?

Thanks a lot!

  • If you configured the firewall/NAT rules using Any, then yes.  You should have authentication configured for activesync, which is your security control mechanism.  It's no different than when you were using the DrayTek router.
